Deputies investigate ‘suspicious death’ in Seminole County

Deputies are investigating the “suspicious death” of a 52-year-old man found in his Seminole County home.

A woman who came to check on Douglas Adams at his home on the 500 block of Georgia Avenue in unincorporated Altamonte Springs told deputies she found his body inside the home, according to Seminole County Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Kealing.

The incident was reported just after 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Kealing did not comment on the cause or manner of Adams’ death.

Kealing said the victim was last seen at the home between 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. He lived with one other person.

DES MOINES, Iowa  —  Des Moines police have identified the victim in a suspicious death case.

On Saturday evening, officials confirmed 71-year-old Nancy Heimbaugh was the woman whose body was found inside a residence in the 3900 block of 29th Street on Friday.

Officers are still investigating and waiting for autopsy results to determine Heimbaugh’s cause of death.

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 71-year-old woman who was found dead Friday in her home in the city’s Lower Beaver neighborhood.

Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of a 71-year-old woman on the north side of Des Moines.

Police responded about 3:20 p.m. to 3923 29th St. in the city’s Lower Beaver neighborhood after family members checked on their relative and found her dead with injuries, Sgt. Paul Parizek said. Authorities are investigating the death of Nancy Heimbaugh as suspicious.

Police investigate suspicious death in Manitowoc


MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) — Manitowoc police are investigating a suspicious death but say the public is not in danger.

Authorities were called early Friday about a 37-year-old man who was non-responsive. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Detectives are still investigating but say there is no danger to the public.

CCSO identifies man found dead in Immokalee home

A man was found dead inside an Immokalee home early Thursday.

The man was identified as Alvaro Hernandez Sanchez, 29.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said the death is considered suspicious.

Deputies were called to 108 North Sixth Street in Immokalee at 12:37 a.m. in reference to the death.

A Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman could not provide more information, citing the active investigation.

Defiance Co. deputies investigate suspicious death of a baby – 13abc

HICKSVILLE, Ohio (WTVG) – Deputies with the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the suspicious death of a child.

Investigators say a baby was born alive at a home in Hicksville in the 5400 block of Arrowsmith road back in October of 2016. According to a news release, the baby died in the home about 10 hours after delivery.

This week, deputies searched the home and area near the house and located a child’s body.

As a result Jared Stark, 33 was arrested and charged with one count of endangering children and one count of abuse of a corpse. Sarah Stark, 35 is also facing on count of child endangering.

Defiance county authorities have not release how the child might have died or where the remains were found. Investigators plan to send their findings to the Defiance County Prosecutor and expect that further charges will be filed.
