Police investigating ‘suspicious’ death of person looking into FL mother’s death

OConnell Family(ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.) — Florida police are investigating what they are calling a “suspicious” death of a private citizen who was conducting their own personal investigation into the 2010 death of young Florida mother Michelle O’Connell.
The victim was found shot dead at a condo in the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, Thursday morning, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Police have not released the victim’s name, but said the victim identified as both male and female.
Police also said this person had requested to view some public records related to the O’Connell case, but what they were actually able to see was unknown.
O’Connell’s mother Patty O’Connell told ABC News Thursday that she was devastated by the news of the victim’s death.

Person investigating 2010 St. Johns County death of Michelle O’Connell found dead at World Golf Village – FirstCoastNews.com WTLV

A private citizen who was looking into the 2010 shooting death of a St. Johns County woman was found dead from a gunshot wound Thursday at World Golf Village. 

Michelle O’Connell, a young mother, was in the process of breaking up with her boyfriend, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeremy Banks, when she died from a gunshot from his service weapon in 2010.

Her death was ruled a suicide, but her family believes it was a homicide.

Police have not released the name of the investigator who was killed Thursday, but said the victim identifies as both male and female and was found by their son. Police said the person killed had been making record requests into the O’Connell investigation.

Hamilton police homicide unit investigating ‘suspicious death’ on east mountain

There are mafia undertones to a deadly shooting on Hamilton’s mountain brow.

Investigators say the victim of Wednesday’s murder, Cece Luppino, 44, was the son of mobster Rocco Luppino and the grandson of late mafia boss Giacomo Luppino.

Detective Sergaent Peter Thom, speaking to reporters on Thursday afternoon, stressed that Cece Luppino did not have a criminal record and was not known to Hamilton Police.

BPD: Felony arrest warrant issued in suspicious death case

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Detectives with BPD are continuing to follow up on the

suspicious death of Joseph Lara.

On January 23, detectives arrested Dennis Marroquin for his role in the offense. Marroquin was booked for Destruction of Evidence, Concealing an Accidental Death and conspiracy.

While in custody, Marroquin was additionally charged with accessory.

Detectives arrested Kailee Morrison on Monday, January 28 for her role in the offense. Morrison was later booked for possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of marijuana for sales, destruction of evidence, concealing an accidental death, conspiracy and accessory.
