Pasco deputies investigating suspicious death after body found in pond

Pasco County deputies are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found floating in a pond in Zephyrhills on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies, responding to a call around 4:30 p.m., found the body of the unidentified man in a small pond behind a Home Depot, about 300 yards west of Eiland Boulevard and 500 yards north of State Road 54.

The pond is located near a homeless camp, deputies say.

Foul play is suspected in the man’s death, deputies say.

Deputies suspect ‘foul play’ after body found in Zephyrhills pond

A body found floating in a Zephyrhills pond on Tuesday afternoon may be the victim of foul play, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was found in a pond in the woods behind the Home Depot at 32715 Eiland Boulevard, near where State Road 54 intersects with Morris Bridge Road. Deputies received a call about the body at about 4:30 p.m.

The pond is located near a homeless camp, deputies say. The death remains under investigation, the agency said Wednesday, reiterating that foul play is suspected in this case.

The Sheriff’s Office released no other details about the incident, including whether the man has been identified.

Police say no threat to the public after ‘suspicious’ death on Cheshire trail

Focusing on the section between School House Road and West Johnson Avenue, police began to investigate. At some point, a body was discovered; police did not say who found the person nor did they say the person’s age or gender.

Police wish to speak to neighbour after body found in Mandurah home

Police want to speak to a neighbour over the suspicious death of a man who was squatting in the backyard of a Mandurah home.

Homicide detectives and forensic officers spent the day at the Gray Street home which backs on to the property where the man was found dead.

The homicide squad want to speak to the man who lives there, who has been away for a few days.

They believe he can help them with their inquiries.

Police have not yet released the victim’s name as they’re still in the process of tracking down his family for formal identification.

Neighbours say they spoke to the 23-year-old on Tuesday evening.

On Friday, his body was found in the shed by a real estate agent.

When or how he died is not clear.

The rental home was vacant and it is believed he had been squatting there for several days.

Woman dies after being hit by car in Palmer Township neighborhood, authorities say

UPDATE: Husband accidentally runs over wife, killing her, police say

A woman died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in a Palmer Township neighborhood.

Authorities were called a little after 3 p.m. for a fall victim with a head injury in the 1200 block of Anna Marie Street, township police Detective Jim Alercia said.

The call was updated for woman possibly hit by a vehicle and suffering a head injury, then changed to a probable pedestrian accident, Alercia said.

Authorities responded to the cul-de-sac near Leeman Street, just west of South 25th Street, and called for Northampton County Coroner Zach Lysek. A body lying under a pink sheet could be seen in a driveway.

Lysek was not immediately identifying the victim, pending notification of family.

A vehicle was involved in the incident, and authorities were confiscating the vehicle as part of the investigation, Alercia said. The

Coroner investigating suspicious death after body found in Spartanburg County

The coroner is investigating a suspicious death after a man’s body was found in Wellford on Thursday afternoon, according to Spartanburg County deputies.

A couple walking near 141 Office Street around 12:30 p.m. in Wellford found the body, deputies said.

The coroner said the victim was identified as Victor Ogan, 24, of Inman.

The coroner has not released the cause of death.

‘Suspicious death’ investigation underway after man found dead at recycling center

HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) — A man’s body was found at a St. Louis County recycling center Thursday morning.

Around 7:30 a.m., Officers with the Hazelwood Police Department were notified of a body at the Republic Service Recycling Center, located in the 6020 block of Byassee Drive.
