Woman sought in suspicious death under arrest

Ashlie A. Velasquez, a “person of interest” in a suspicious July 4 death, is being held in the Hancock County jail for tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony charge.

Hancock County Sheriff Mike Heldman declined to say what evidence Velasquez, 29, allegedly tampered with.

The sheriff’s office had been trying to locate her since Boe N. Bushong, 22, of rural Mount Blanchard, died July 4 at his residence on Amanda Township 194.

The two were in a relationship, according to their Facebook pages.

Asked if additional charges against Velasquez might be possible, Heldman said, “I would say that is a possibility, depending how the investigation goes.”

Velasquez was arrested Friday after the sheriff’s office got a warrant to check a Findlay apartment that investigators believed her to be in, Heldman said.

Update: Arrest made after man found dead in LR Monday


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A man is arrested in connection to a suspicious death-turned-homicide investigation.

Little Rock Police said Wednesday Robert Johnson, 62, was arrested in connection to the death of Shawn Price, 39.

Johnson faces a First Degree Murder charge and was taken to the Pulaski County jail.

Aurora Police Arrest One Man After Suspicious Death

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Roughly 24 hours after finding a woman dead in a home on East Milan Circle, Aurora Police have made an arrest. Kieth Zotto, 43, is in custody connected to the death from Tuesday.

Zotto is charged with First Degree Murder in the death of the woman. She has not been identified but had been reported missing from the 19000 block of East Milan Circle.

Man found dead in camper; arrest | News

RIO COMMUNITIES—The identity of a man killed last Wednesday morning in a camper trailer near the Rio Grande has been released by local law enforcement, and an Albuquerque man has been charged in relation to his death.

Valencia County Sheriff’s Lt. James Harris said the victim is Christopher J. Trujillo, 27, who Harris said has been living in the Belen area for the last several years.

Trujillo died from blunt force trauma to the head.

“I can’t provide any further information at this time without compromising the investigation,” Harris said.

Valencia County detectives were called out to investigate the suspicious death of a man in Rio Communities on the morning of Wednesday, June 19.

Trujillo was found in a small camper trailer near the river on the west side of N.M. 47, north of the Allsup’s convenience store.

Arrest made in suspicious death near northwest side

TUCSON, Ariz. — TUCSON, Ariz.- UPDATE- An arrest has been made in the case of a suspicious death in the North Fellows Avenue area.

Following their initial investigation, Pima County Sheriff’s Department arrested 25-year-old Joshua David Risley and he has been charged with first-degree murder.

No other details are known and the investigation is still ongoing.

Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report about a death near the northwest side on Wednesday.

Upon arrival deputies found a man dead inside the residence at 4900 block of North Fellows Avenue around 6:30 p.m. The body had obvious signs of trauma.

Detectives were called to the scene to investigate the cause of death, which is being called suspicious.

The investigation is still on going.

Arrest Made in Deadly Stabbing on Hudson Ave.

A Rochester woman has been arrested in connection to a deadly stabbing on the city’s east side.

Police were called to Hudson Avenue around 3 a.m. Friday for a man that was lying unresponsive on the sidewalk. Police say Christopher Grissom, 40, of Rochester was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheena Perry-Harris, 34, of Rochester is charged with second-degree murder. She pleaded not guilty in court Saturday morning.

Wilmington police make an arrest following weekend homicide

WILMINGTON N.C. (WWAY)– According to a spokesperson for the Wilmington police department, an arrest has been made in connection to a homicide on Saturday.

Police say they located 33-year-old Jermaine Pompey with the help of SABLE and the U.S. Marshals in Columbus County on Saturday evening.

Pompey has been charge with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of firearm by a felon.

Police found the body of 30-year-old Quinchelle Carr in her apartment Saturday around 9:30 a.m. They said suspicious death was ruled a homicide.

Earlier police were looking for a 2002 black Toyota Avalon and found it a few hours later.

UPDATE: Police make arrest in suspicious death along Rivanna Trail

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — The Albemarle County Police Department says a man has been arrested in connection with a murder near the Rivanna River on Thursday night.

Forty-nine-year-old Allan Ray Via of Charlottesville was arrested Friday night for the death of 24-year-old Cody Jason Cappel.

Police say Cappel was shot multiple times.

His body was found along the trails near the Rivanna River and Peter Jefferson Parkway on Thursday night.

Police say the two men knew each other and were living in tents along the river.

Via is facing charges of second-degree murder and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

He is currently being held the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.
