Update: West Monroe police arrest 1 during death investigation

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) – One person has been arrested during an investigation into a suspicious death in West Monroe.

According to West Monroe PD, they discovered the body at 103 Riverbend Drive in West Monroe. This area is near the Ouachita River, just south of Interstate 20.

Police say they were contacted about the death Monday morning at 8:51 a.m. They say their initial investigation led them to believe ” suspicious circumstances were present.” Police say that during their investigation, they found multiple cuts on the victim. At this time, the investigation shows that the cuts were made after the victim died. Police arrested Shomari Clemons on a charge of mutilating, disinterring human remains.

Neighbors React to Arrest of Son in Mother’s Suspicious Death Case

Residents of an Oceanside community were in disbelief Monday after learning that their neighbor is dead and that her son is accused of killing her.

Regina Sardina, 64, was found dead under suspicious circumstances Sunday at a home she owned on Shenandoah Drive.

She was first discovered by one of her three sons at around 12:30 p.m. and the Oceanside Police Department was called, Sgt. Tom Bussey said.

Sardina was supposed to meet another one of her sons in Las Vegas, but when she didn’t show another son came to check on her and found her, according to Sgt. Bussey.

Police arrest suspect in ‘suspicious death’ in Arlington hotel

WASHINGTON — A woman was found dead inside a hotel room in Arlington, Virginia, Saturday morning, and a Stafford man has been arrested on a charge of murder.

Twenty-four-year-old Rodolfo Rivera is being held without bond at the Arlington County jail, a news release said.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., police responded to a call about a possible death inside a hotel on the 1700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Crystal City.

Inside the room, they found 20-year-old Natasha Rivera, of Stafford, dead.

Rodolfo Rivera was on the scene when police arrived and was taken into custody. Police are investigating the killing as a domestic-related homicide.

Arrest Made In Connection With Suspicious Death Of Worcester Woman

WORCESTER (CBS) – A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Worcester. Investigators first thought the woman drowned, but now they believe someone strangled her and left her at a lake.

“I’m past the misery stage now I’m just angry, very angry,” said Deborah Christensen, who is mourning the loss of her daughter 38-year-old Marlene Bleau. “I don’t care what anybody does in life they don’t deserve to die by somebody else’s hand.”
