A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The house at Johnswood Drive remained sealed off this morning as members of the garda technical bureau prepared to carry out a further forensic examination at the scene.
The dead man is from Eastern Europe and one line of inquiry being investigated is that he was assaulted.
It is believed he was found in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs.
Gardai were first alerted to the house shortly after midnight yesterday December 11.
There, they found a man unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to the city morgue for a post mortem examination which is being carried out today at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan.
A 33-year-old man was arrested and questioned at Ashbourne garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
He was released on Wednesday evening.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–A man was formally charged today in a death investigation in Grand Rapids.
But, there are still many more questions than answers in this case.
Jared Chance, 29, was officially charged this afternoon with one count of mutilation of a dead body and one count of concealing the death of an individual, crimes neighbors say they are shocked to hear.
On Sunday around 4:30 pm, police were called to a home oN Franklin street SE where chance was living.
Officers found the remains of a woman in the home.
Chance was found in the upstairs apartment and taken into custody in connection with the suspicious death.
Neighbors say they noticed odd behavior but say they are shocked to hear that something like this could’ve happened just next door

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – A day before Nicole Porciello’s funeral, a 31-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to her death.
Integrated Homicide Investigators say Jan Poepl has been arrested and charged in connection to the death of the 34-year-old woman.
Porciello, who also went by Nicole Hasselmann, died in hospital following a car crash on Barnet Highway on Nov. 16. She was a special education assistant and left behind a 10-year-old son.
Investigators later said the woman’s injuries indicated foul play.
“We recognize that this is a very difficult time for Nicole’s family as they are grieving for her death. And we hope that we are able to provide them with some answers.” Cpl. Frank Jang told NEWS 1130. “They are going through so much right now, arranging the funeral and just grieving for their loss.”
