Homicide detectives investigating suspicious death in Rancho San Diego

RANCHO SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Homicide detectives Wednesday were investigating the death of a man who was found inside a Rancho San Diego home.

Deputies responded to a request to assist fire department personnel around 10 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 10900 block of Explorer Road, off Avocado Boulevard, San Diego County Sheriff’s Lt. Ted Greenawald said.

The victim was a man, Greenawald said, adding that the victim’s name and age were not immediately available.

Detectives were interviewing someone and were not looking for additional suspects, the lieutenant said.

It was unclear if anyone was arrested and no further details were immediately available.

Detectives investigating suspicious death in Mount Helix area – The San Diego Union

Authorities arrested a 65-year-old man on suspicion of murder Wednesday morning after another man died in a Spring Valley home.

Just before 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies were called to help the San Miguel Fire Rescue on a report of a man not breathing at a home on Explorer Road is off Avocado Boulevard and north of state Route 94, sheriff’s homicide Lt. Chad Boudreau said in a statement.

Deputies started life-saving measures before paramedics arrived, but the man died shortly before 11 p.m. The sheriff’s detective did not release the name, age or city of residence of the person who died.

Boudreau said detectives questioned then arrested another man in the home, who he identified as 65-year-old Thomas Wayne Zupner.

Online jail records indicate Zupner was arrested on suspicion of murder as well as false imprisonment and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

Homicide detectives investigating Valley Center suspicious death – The San Diego Union

Sheriff’s homicide detectives spent all day Tuesday investigating the suspicious death of a man discovered inside a home near a popular casino and the sheriff’s station in Valley Center, authorities said.

Homicide Lt. Chad Boudreau would not disclose the circumstances of the man’s death, but told San Diego News Video on Tuesday night that a San Diego County hazardous materials crew and bomb-arson unit were out “securing the house.”

The mother of the man who died requested a welfare check on her son around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to sheriff’s Lt. David Buether. Deputies were sent to a home on North Lake Wohlford Road near Valley Center Road, just north of the Valley View Casino Hotel and close to the sheriff’s Valley Center substation.

Deputies found the man “in distress” and called for medics and firefighters, Boudreau said. The man was pronounced dead at 9:15 a.m.

Detectives investigate suspicious death in Gresham, ask to speak with witnesses

GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) – Detectives are investigating a suspicious death in Gresham and want to hear from potential witnesses.

Officers just before 7 a.m. Saturday responded to Northeast Wilkes Road and Northeast 181st Avenue after a man was found dead.

The police department Saturday night said the East County Major Crimes Team is investigating the incident as a homicide. No additional information was immediately available for release.

Detectives ask anyone who saw or heard anything in regards to this incident to call them at 503-618-2719.

Homicide detectives investigating suspicious death in Council Bluffs

Council Bluffs police are investigating a shooting death near 6th Avenue and 21st Street.

Officers said they found Jerrot Clark, 52, dead of a gunshot wound inside his home around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

Police said they are working to determine the events that led up to Clark’s death, and if the shooting was intentional, accidental, or self-inflicted.

According to police, officers responded to a call of a disturbance at the home Saturday night as well, and reported several family members arguing.

The incident is under investigation.

No further details are available at this time, but police are calling it a suspicious death.
