Suspicious incident investigated in Maple Grove

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — Investigators are processing a scene in Maple Grove after an unusual incident Wednesday morning. 

A resident alerted KARE 11 that nearly a dozen squad cars and the Hennepin County Mobile Crime Lab were parked outside a home near the intersection of 92nd Avenue North and Harbor Lane North.

Suspicious death investigated in Madison

The Attorney General’s Office and state police responded to a suspicious death in Madison on Friday night.

Officials announced the death in a press release.

Several police vehicles were seen parked outside a home on Burgdorf Drive through the night and into Saturday morning.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Agati says the identity of the victim would likely be released before noon Saturday. It’s unclear if any suspects were taken into custody.

Missing man’s death being investigated as homicide, coroner says

The body of a missing 24-year-old man was found Thursday afternoon in
Wellford, according to Spartanburg County authorities.

A couple walking near 141 Office Street around 12:30 p.m. found the body, deputies said.

The coroner said the victim was identified as Victor Ogan, 24, of Inman.

The death is being investigated as a homicide.

The coroner said Ogan died from trauma to his body. The exact cause of death will be withheld so the investigation is not compromised, the coroner said.

Ogan was reported as a missing person on Jan. 21, deputies said.

UPDATED: Body found in Fort Gratiot being ‘investigated as a homicide’

The death of the man whose body was discovered early Sunday in Fort Gratiot is being “investigated as a homicide,” according to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon.

However, the name of the victim was still being withheld as of 8 p.m.

‘Suspicious’ death at Kissimmee motel investigated as homicide, Osceola deputies say

A death at a Kissimmee motel deemed “suspicious” by Osceola County deputies Saturday is being investigated as a homicide, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Maj. Jacob Ruiz said.

Deputies were called about 1:15 p.m. to the Star Motel in the 4800 block of W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway to investigate, Ruiz said. He initially described the death as “suspicious.”

The Sheriff’s Office has not released information on the identity of the deceased person or how they died.

“This is an active investigation and isolated incident,” Ruiz said in an email.

‘Suspicious’ death investigated in midtown Anchorage after body is found in apartment

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) – A man was found dead inside a midtown apartment, his body believed to have been inside for several days, and now investigators are calling the death “suspicious.”

In an alert issued by the Anchorage Police Department, officers reported finding the body of a man inside an apartment complex on the 600 block of West 34th Avenue.

The body was found at 4:15 a.m., and police say the death is “suspicious in nature.”

Multiple people have been detained and questioned by police. Homicide investigators are now working on the scene where the body was found to determine what happened.

The identity of the man has not yet been released, per APD protocol to first inform the victim’s family.

Suspicious death of 22-year-old Detroit man being investigated


DETROIT – A 22-year-old man was found dead by his mother on the 9500 block of Longacre Street around 7 a.m. Sunday morning. 

Detroit police are calling the death suspicious. According to police, the woman said her son felt ice cold and stopped breathing.

She contacted 911 and requested emergency medical services. There were no signs of trauma

Authorities say dispatchers got a call shortly before midnight Thursday reporting a death at the residence. Deputies were met by the husband who told them his wife was dead inside the home. The body of the 69-year-old woman was found in the residence.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation into what officials say is a suspicious death.
