Suspicious death investigation underway in Hinesburg

Police are currently investigating a suspicious death in near Hinesburg.

The Hinesburg Police Department says it received a call reporting a “suspicious” vehicle Thursday night, and a man’s body was found at approximately 11 p.m.

The body was found at a hiking trail parking lot on Gilman Road, near Honey Hill Road.

The victim’s name will not be released until police notify the family, according to Vermont State Police.

State troopers have taken over the investigation.

Gilman Road remains closed between Rt. 116 and Hines Rd while the investigation is underway.

Police said the area is safe to the public, but they do urge people to stay alert.

Death Investigation Underway Near Mission Valley Bike Path

San Diego police were investigating a suspicious death underneath a Mission Valley bridge and near a bike path Thursday.

A body was found submerged in water underneath a bridge along San Diego Mission Road across from SDCCU Stadium overnight, prompting a response from SDPD.

Officers had to use a rope, provided by firefighters, to climb down to where the body was found, SDPD Sgt. Paul Conley said. 

The cause of death was not immediately obvious so detectives were called, a homicide sergeant told NBC 7.

After further investigating the body, SDPD said there were not obvious signs of trauma. They were unable to determine the gender or identity of the person. 

The sergeant did not confirm if the death was being investigated as a homicide.

Suspicious death investigation underway in Parlier

The Fresno County Sheriffs Office is investigating a suspicious death in the city of Parlier.

We have confirmed that deputies were dispatched to a home on the 14000 block of East Manning Wednesday night at around 7 p.m.

When deputies entered the home, they found a body inside.

The cause of death isn’t known, but the death is being investigated as being suspicious in nature. Investigators are on scene trying to determine what happened.

Suspicious death investigation underway after 87-year-old woman found dead in north county home

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead inside a north county home Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the 4300 block of Keevenshore Drive around 8:22 a.m. where a woman in her 80s was found dead. Police said she was suffering from an apparent head injury.

The woman has been identified as 87-year-old Barbara Mabrey.

“She was a beautiful lady, always kind and warm thoughts, loved to garden,” neighbor Mark Holmes said of Mabrey. “I like coming home to this neighborhood, and neighbors like her made it an enjoyable experience

Roswell police need help in suspicious death investigation

– Police need help in trying to piece together what led to the death of a Roswell woman back in June.

Roswell police said officers were called out to the 600 block of Ashley Forest Drive around 8 a.m. on June 8 after Fabiola Thomas’ roommate found her body in the bathroom of their apartment. Investigators said Thomas was seen walking in the parking lot about an hour earlier that same morning.

The circumstances of her death are still under investigation.

Police want to speak to anyone who would have been in the area of the 600 building of Ashley Forest between Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8. Investigators also want to speak to anyone who may have interacted with her from June 3 to that Saturday.

Suspicious Death Under Investigation In University City

SAN DIEGO – A University City man was found dead under suspicious circumstances Monday following a quarrel with a housemate, who was taken into custody for questioning.

Patrol officers and paramedics responding to a medical emergency in the 5300 block of Bothe Avenue found the 56-year old victim dead in his home about 6:15 a.m., according to San Diego police.

The man, whose name was withheld pending family notification, had suffered “obvious” upper body trauma, Lt. Anthony Dupree said.

A 34-year old man was taken into custody for questioning. The potential suspect also lives at the home near Marian Bear Memorial Park, as does his 57-year old mother.

Investigators determined that the possible homicide occurred following “some sort of altercation” between the two men, according to Dupree.

The circumstances of the death remained unclear Monday afternoon.

“We are still trying to determine the relationship of all (the involved) parties,” Dupree said.
