Police investigate suspicious death on north Jefferson

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Springfield Police say they are investigating a suspicious death on north Jefferson avenue.

Police say they responded to a call of a male not breathing around 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Officers located the victim unresponsive in a gazebo. The man was identified as 56 year old Paul D. Biggs of Springfield. First responders attempted to revive Biggs but he died at the scene.

Detectives ask that if you have any information about this incident, contact the Springfield Police Department.

Man found dead after hotel shooting in North Austin, police say – Austin American

Austin police say a 28-year-old man was found dead at a North Austin hotel room Sunday night and authorities are investigating it as a homicide.

Police received at 8:05 p.m. a 911 report of shots fired in the Quality Inn and Suites Downtown North at 7928 Gessner Dr. Witnesses said they saw several individuals running through the hotel lobby around the time of the incident, Officer Marcos Johnson said.

Officers responding to the call saw a door open in one of the floors and found a man down with signs of trauma, Johnson said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not say how the victim died and have not identified him pending notification to next of kin. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death, officials said.

Police investigate suspicious death in North Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police said they have a “person of interest” in a suspicious death in North Austin early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Madison at Wells Branch Apartments off MoPac, north of Parmer Lane.

Police said neighbors called 911 at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, saying they heard a loud bang and yelling.

When police and medics got there, they found a man who they later pronounced dead.

Police said they don’t believe there is a threat to the public.

Police name man who died at North Austin apartment complex

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police say the 22-year-old man who died in a suspicious death at a North Austin apartment complex May 4 was trying to rob the shooter.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Madison at Wells Branch Apartments off MoPac, north of Parmer Lane on Elm Ridge Lane.

Police said neighbors called 911 at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, saying they heard a loud bang and yelling.

When police and medics got there, they found Tony Ray Green Jr. with obvious trauma to his body. Green was pronounced dead just after 2:30 a.m.

Man found dead near North County high school identifed, died from overdose, police say

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – A body found near a north St. Louis County high school Friday morning has been identified.

Multiple police vehicles were seen on North Market Street between Normandy High School and St. Peters Cemetery after the body of 38-year-old Ronnal Gentry Jr. was discovered around 7 a.m.

After investigating, police said Gentry had died because of an overdose.

Police said they are investigating whether Gentry was dumped at the location.
