Licking County sheriff investigating body found in trash bag

The Licking County sheriff’s office is investigating the suspicious death of a Newark woman whose body was found this week in a trash bag.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 9:20 p.m. Monday. The caller reported finding the body in a trash bag along the 5400 block of Licking Trails Road near Heath.

Investigators later identified the dead woman as Sydney Bryson, 30, of Newark, according to a news release from Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp.

The county coroner’s office performed an autopsy this week. No obvious signs of trauma were found and toxicology could take several weeks, the release said.

Thorp said in the news release that the circumstances surrounding Bryson’s death are considered suspicious at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.

The deceased person was identified as, Sydney Bryson, 30, of Newark.

No obvious signs of trauma were discovered during an autopsy by the Licking County Coroner’s Office. It will take weeks for the coroner’s office to get the toxicology results.

“The circumstances surrounding this death are considered suspicious at this time,” the release states.

Detectives are interviewing those who knew Bryson. Anyone with information should contact Sheriffs Detective Mike Collins at 740-670-5530.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Suspicious Death

 The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman’s body was found last night at her home on Union Street under suspicious circumstances.

Deputies were called to Lot 7 at 510 Union Street around 7 p.m. Sunday after the woman’s roommate had to force her way into the trailer, where she found the 47-year old victim on the floor.

The victim’s identity will be released once there is verification of next of kin notification.

Will County Sheriff’s Office Investigating a Suspicious Death

As first mentioned Monday on 1340 WJOL, Will County Sheriff’s Investigators are investigating the circumstances behind a body found in a heavily wooded area of Jefferson Street, between Essington and Houbolt Roads near the Woodland Cemetary around 9:00am on Monday. The body, discovered by a hunter, was found about 500 feet from the roadway in the heavily wooded area on the north side of Jefferson Street. During part of the investigation, both directions of Jefferson Street were closed while crews canvased the area for any clues to what may have happened. At press time, westbound Jefferson remained restricted to one lane, as the right lane was closed near the crime scene (Check for updates). Sheriff’s office, TBI investigate suspicious death of 3-year-old – WBBJ

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The sheriff’s office and the TBI are investigating the suspicious death of a 3-year-old girl.

Deputies responded around 5 p.m. Tuesday to a home on Cane Creek Road where the child was unresponsive, according to a release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

EMS transported the child, who has not been identified, to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The death is considered suspicious, and the child’s body has been taken to Nashville for an autopsy, according to the release.

Four children were in the home, ages 2, 3, 4 and 7. There were three girls and a 2-year-old boy.

The 4-year-old girl in the home was taken to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for treatment of malnutrition, the release says. Investigators say she has since been transferred to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.

Sheriff’s deputies investigating man’s suspicious death in Rosemont

Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death Saturday in Rosemont, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a call on the 4000 block of Ashgrove Way after a resident said there was an unresponsive person lying in the bushes on the side of a house, according to the sheriff’s department.

Metro Fire contacted the deputies around 11 a.m. Saturday about the suspicious nature of a man’s death, officials said. The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information, or who may have seen or heard something suspicious on Ashgrove Way near Birchgrove Way on Friday night, to contact the department.

The man has not yet been identified, officials said.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office investigating homicide – KKTV.com

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) UPDATE 10/10/18 8:15 a.m.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday a man has been arrested in a suspicious death turned homicide investigation.

On Tuesday night, deputies arrested Thomas Jackson, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office. He was booked into the Criminal Justice Center on the charge of first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.

Neighbors said they were shocked to see police activity in the area.

“It’s kind of crazy,” Ryan Blackburn said. “It’s right down the street. You never think that’s going to happen nearby you.”

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said law enforcement has been called to the home before but would not specify when or why.

Officials said they would not release whether Jackson knew the victim until the coroner identifies her.
