FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fresno County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a woman was fatally shot in Parlier Wednesday night.
Deputies say a disturbance occurred after family members arrived at a home in the area of Manning and Zediker Avenues. Someone pulled out a gun, officials say, and a woman was struck by gunfire.
Investigators arrived to find the woman dead, and a confusing crime scene.
“We know some of the people that we are talking to live there,” said Lt. Jose Salinas. “But there are other family members who have shown up, so we don’t know exactly who lives there or who has just shown up because of what occurred at the home.”
Deputies are still gathering information from various interviews taken at the scene. At last report, no arrests have been made.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced that it is investigating the suspicious death of a 4-year-old boy from Palmdale in a news conference Tuesday.
The incident took place around 4 p.m. on July 5 in the 1200 block of East Avenue S in Palmdale, officials said at the news conference. The child was taken to Palmdale Regional Hospital, before being taken to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The boy was pronounced dead early Saturday morning, authorities said.
The boy, Noah, was at his house and the biological mother and father were present, Lt. Joe Mendoza of the LASD said. The boy had trauma on the body, which was not consistent with the parents’ call to police reporting a possible drowning, authorities said.
The parents have been interviewed, but no arrests or charges have been brought forward, according to Mendoza.
