Suspicious death investigation underway in KCK near 39th and Adams Street

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Kansas City, Kansas police are investigating a suspicious death Thursday.

Police Chief Terry Zeigler tweeted the news just before 1:30 p.m.

The investigation is underway near Adams Street  and West 39th Avenue. This is about a block from Rainbow Boulevard.

Police did not release any further information about the victim or what makes the death suspicious.

Cherry Street “suspicious death” deemed homicide | NewsRadio WINA

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WINA) – Charlottesville Police have identified the man whose body was found on January 10, 2018, at a home on Cherry Street.

Originally deemed a ‘suspicious death,’ the department has now classified the death of 55-year-old Richard Wayne Edwards as a homicide with no further information available.

The medical examiner has classified the suspicious death on Cherry Street as a homicide.

The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Richard Wayne Edwards, and his next of kin has been notified.

Alexandria police investigate ‘suspicious death’ on South Van Dorn Street

Alexandria police are investigating what they consider a “suspicious death” on South Van Dorn Street, near Duke Street.

No additional information was released, but police said they do not believe the death presents a threat to the neighborhood. A police spokeswoman said additional information could be released pending resulting of the investigation.

SALT LAKE CITY — Police and fire investigators are trying to determine how a man died Sunday morning.

Crews were called to reports of a fire at the apartments located at 1729 North Beck Street around 8:30 a.m.

There was no obvious fire when firefighters arrived, but they did locate the man who appeared to have been burned.

Originally, the case was being investigated as a ‘suspicious death,’ but just before noon, Salt Lake Police tweeted it appears to be an accidental fire.

They identified the victim as 51-year-old Jim Kavoukas, but his daughter tells Fox 13 he was 56.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A 50-year-old woman has been identified the Richland County Coroner’s Office as the victim of a murder investigation.

Columbia Police say what was being investigated as a suspicious death has now been ruled a homicide after the body of Angela Lee Young was found on Calk Street on December 9.

Coroner Gary Watts said Young was shot in the upper body.

UPDATE| Coroner says a man was stabbed to death on Mill street – WRDW

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) — 11:40 p.m.

The Richmond County Coroner has released new details after investigating a suspicious death on Mill Street. The Coroner said the victim is 40 year old Damien T. Jenkins.

He said Jenkins was found dead inside his home with at least one stab wound. An autopsy will be done on Monday by the GBI crime lab in Atlanta.
