Erie Police investigating suspicious Ash Street death

Two nights of rolling closures will start today on Interstate 90 from the Ohio state line to mile marker 3.5 in Springfield Township, Erie County.

The temporary closures for both the eastbound and the westbound lanes will be in place daily from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, starting Monday night, July 8, 2019, and ending Wednesday morning, July 10, 2019.

Death of man found on 50 Street overpass non-criminal: Edmonton police

UPDATE: After conducting an autopsy, Edmonton police said the death was determined to be non-criminal. 

Old story:

Edmonton police closed the southbound lanes of 50 Street between Manning Drive and 137 Avenue Thursday morning.

The traffic closure was due to a suspicious death investigation, an EPS spokesperson said.

A tarp could be seen set up on an overpass, where several police officers were gathered.

Investigators were also seen going in and out of a house on 139 Avenue.

EPS later said officers were called to the area when an unresponsive male was found on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The homicide unit is investigating. An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.

Police reopened 50 Street shortly after 4 p.m.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of 50 Street above the LRT tracks between 7:45 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. and saw something to contact police.

Knightswood – police investigate suspicious death as street taped off

Police are guarding a cordoned off street in Knightswood as they probe a suspicious death this afternoon.

Officers raced to Hermitage Avenue at around 10am yesterday morning after a man was seriously injured within his home.

A large section of Hermitage Avenue has been taped off as they continue their investigation.

A spokeswoman for the force said the death is currently being treated as “suspicious” and they are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.


Locals yesterday told Glasgow Live that they witnessed a heavy presence of emergency services, as well as specialist police in white suits .

A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Emergency services were called to Hermitage Avenue in Knightswood at about 10:00 on Saturday after reports of a man with serious injuries.

East Market Street incident: 73-year-old man dies after falling from building

A 73-year-old man has died after an incident on Edinburgh’s East Market Street earlier this afternoon.

Police have confirmed that they are treating this as a “non suspicious death”.

The road was closed after reports of a person falling from a building at around 4.40pm this afternoon.

Officers were advising members of the public to avoid the area as they dealt with the incident. The East Market Street entrance to Edinburgh Waverley railway station was also closed off at the time.

A police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a 73-year-old man has died following an incident on East Market Street, Edinburgh on 14 June. This is being treated as a non-suspicious death.”

Police: 390 Crash Connected to Suspicious Death on Myrtle Street

A man was found dead inside a home on Myrtle Street and Rochester police are calling the circumstances “suspicious.”

Police said a person fled from a vehicle after a crash on 390 near West Ridge Road around 6 a.m. Friday.

The person who fled was not the owner of the vehicle, according to police. He was later arrested.

Police said when they went to check on the actual owner of the vehicle, they found him dead inside his home on Myrtle Street.

Police are waiting for the medical examiner to arrive at the scene to help deteremine a cause of death.

Details are limited at this time, but police officials are expected to brief the media regarding their investigation later today.

“This early in the morning, something’s already happening? That was my first reaction, I never thought it’d be so close to home,” said Precious Allen, who just lives two doors down from the home.

Allen says she was surprised to find that her normally quiet neighborhood was crawling with police when she woke up to get her kids ready for school Friday.

“It’s pretty shocking for me right now because I have a baby that plays in the street every day,” Allen said. “And you never know what happened or how it happened or anything like that.”

Bone unearthed from 21st Street home is purportedly a human skull

 The medical examiner has ruled a bone on May 23 unearthed from a yard at 3025 21st Street is human in origin, confirmed the San Francisco Police Department.

The case is now being handled as a “suspicious death,” said Officer Adam Lobsinger, a department spokesman.
