COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) — UPDATE: Just after midnight Saturday morning, College Station Police announced 24-year-old Luis Leonardo Solis had been arrested for murder. He was roommates with the victim, Osiel Benitez-Herrera, 30, of College Station. Solis was questioned by police beginning early on in the investigation, and family members insisted to KBTX he was a suspect in the case.

ORIGINAL STORY: College Station police have identified a man they say is the victim of a homicide.
Police say a man called 9-1-1 around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night, claiming he found his roommate dead inside their home at a mobile home park located in the 3000 block of Texas Avenue.
The victim is Osiel Benitez-Herrera, 30, according to police.

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WIFR) — Updated May 6, 2019, 9:05 p.m. A Machesney Park man is now facing first degree murder charges… After his 70-year-old mother is found dead in his apartment.
Around 10 a.m. Monday, Winnebago County Sherrif’s deputies responded to a medical assistance call at the Bay View Apartments in the 200 block of Northway Park Road in Machesney Park. When deputies got into the ground level apartment, they found 70-year-old Sharon Stoner of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin dead with what the Winnebago County Coroner describes as traumatic injuries. After interviewing Sharon’s son Kent Stoner, they charged the 46 year old with first degree murder.

The woman found dead in Machesney Park on Monday morning was 70 years old, according to the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner says it appears the woman died from traumatic injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to

Sunday: A person found dead Sunday afternoon near the Interstate 35 bridge over Williamson Creek in South Austin appeared to have signs of trauma and Austin police are investigating the case as a suspicious death, officials said.
Senior police officer Marcos Johnson said police received a 911 call at 12:06 p.m. reporting an unresponsive person at the 5500 block of south I-35 northbound service road, under the bridge and close to the creek.
Medics found the man and pronounced him dead at the scene, Austin-Travis County EMS said.
“There does appear to be trauma to the body. It does not appear to be flood or water related,” Johnson said.
