Dayton Police investigate ‘suspicious death’ at Triangle Park

UPDATE @ 6:30 p.m.

This newsroom has obtained the traffic crash report from the fatal incident on U.S. 35 East early this morning.

The victim, a 52-year-old man, was in the roadway illegally when he was struck by a passing vehicle that did not stay at the scene, according to the Dayton police traffic crash report.

Dayton police Sgt. Steven Bauer said police are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run crash, and said the victim was possibly hit by multiple vehicles after he was initially struck. Police did not reveal what type of vehicle was involved in the hit-and-run.

We know from the 9-1-1 call record that at least one motorist sought help after striking an object in the roadway and waited for authorities to arrive on scene.

Of the recent incidents, Cotter said that two students committed suicide over the summer and a third over Christmas break in 2016.

Police investigating suspicious death of metro Detroit woman …

(WXYZ) – Police in Eastpointe say they are waiting for autopsy results from the Macomb County Medical Examiner’s Office before deciding how to move forward with a death investigation.

Police tell us they were called to a home in the 23700 block of Shakespeare, near Stephens and Gratiot, around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Inside the home, they said a mother of two was found dead.

Police say there were no signs of obvious trauma on the woman’s body, but they are calling this a suspicious death until they have that final autopsy report.

We’re told the woman in her 20s was living in the home with her boyfriend and their two children, both younger than 10 years old.

“Very happy family, very nice people,” said neighbor Thorne Hunter, who woke up to the scene in shock.
“She was very nice. She had two little dogs and kids. She seemed like a very nice lady.”

The woman has
