Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll confirmed that his department is investigating the death of a 65-year-old man.
Cleveland Dale Rogers died on Sept. 30 and police believe there were suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, Carroll told BeaumontEnterprise.com.
Rogers died from a gunshot to the left side of his chest, near his shoulder, according to a preliminary autopsy report.
His manner of death is still pending while police investigate whether the gunshot wound was self-inflicted or not, Carroll said.
Additional details are not available as the investigation is still underway. Carroll said they’re keeping the circumstances behind Rogers’ death quiet to avoid
