MANCHESTER, N.H. —
The state Attorney General’s Office and Manchester police are investigating the suspicious death of a 2-year-old boy.
Officials said police found an unconscious child Monday morning at a home on Howe Street. The boy was taken to Elliot Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said the boy’s death appears to be suspicious, but no other details have been released. Neighbors said they were shocked to hear the news.
“It’s very surprising, very sad,” neighbor Alex Lavoie said. “I heard it was a young child, 2 years old. I never had any problems with them next door. They seem like nice people. I’ve only seen them when they are hanging outside.”
An autopsy is planned Tuesday.
