Former Detective And His Wife Indicted On The ‘Suspicious’ Death And Abuse Of His 7-Year-Old Daughter

Germayne Cunningham and his wife, Lisa Cunningham, allegedly abused Sanaa Cunningham over a period of several months. Lisa is the stepmother of Sanaa, while Germayne is her biological father.

Prosecutors allege Sanaa was made to do “forcible work” in the backyard during the summer, was tied to a restrictive device called a RIPP restraint. Prosecutors also said Sanaa was sometimes tied to the garage, laundry room or patio “with trash,” reported The Arizona Republic.

The couple also faces 10 counts of child abuse in addition to the murder charge.

Germayne was a 12-year veteran with the Goodyear Police Department and resigned in September amid an investigation within the department.

Goodyear Police Department spokeswoman Lisa Kutis said the indictment resulted after an extensive 10-month investigation into they believed was a “suspicious” death.

Tourists to Mexico believe daughter died after being drugged at resort

Twenty-year-old Abbey Conner died during a family vacation to Mexico in January, and her loved ones still don’t understand why.

Abbey and her older brother Austin, 22, had both been found face-down in a pool at the Iberostar Paraiso del Mar in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, after arriving just a few hours earlier with their mother and stepfather from Wisconsin, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Abbey and Austin were both pulled from the water and rushed to a hospital, where Austin recovered. Abbey, on the other hand, was pronounced brain-dead after suffering what medical reports called an “anoxic brain injury.”

She was moved to a hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and her family took her off life support a short while later on January 12.

Norman father arrested in connection to “suspicious” death of daughter

NORMAN, Okla. – A Norman father has been arrested in connection to the “suspicious” death of his daughter.

Around 5:45 a.m. on June 29th, Norman police responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1700 block of Abe Martin Drive.

When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Kailee Jo McMullen deceased inside the residence from an apparent gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation led detectives to believe the death is suspicious.

On July 5th, Norman police arrested 43-year-old Ronald Lee McMullen, the biological father of the victim.

Ronald McMullen was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on a complaint of first-degree murder.

The case remains under investigation, but investigators do not anticipate any further
