Man found dead at Brandywine condos Thursday; death deemed suspicious

Baton Rouge police are investigating what they are calling the suspicious death of a man whose body was found Thursday afternoon at the Brandywine condos, said police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola Jr.

The man was found around 12:45 p.m. at the condos, which are on Darryl Drive near the intersection of North Sherwood Forest and South Choctaw. Coppola was unable to comment on details of the case. Police are waiting on the results of an autopsy, Coppola said Thursday night.

The city-parish previously threatened to tear down the condos, claiming they are a blight and pointing to criminal incidents that happen there.
