Police investigate suspicious death after man found in North …

Police were investigating a suspicious death after a man was found dead in a camper trailer Wednesday evening in North Lubbock.

Officers responded just after 6 p.m. to a call reporting a possibly deceased person in a camper trailer in the 2900 block of Dartmouth Street, according to Lubbock police.

Due to what police described as “possible suspicious circumstances,” detectives with the Persons Crimes Unit were called to the scene to begin an investigation. The person’s name, the nature of their death or more information about the suspicious circumstances were not immediately available.

Homicide detectives probing ‘suspicious’ death in north Etobicoke …

An 81-year-old-man has been charged with second-degree murder after a 76-year-old-woman was found dead in a north Etobicoke home late Wednesday, Toronto police say. 

Emergency crews were called to a residence on Farley Crescent near Callowhill Drive, in the Martin Grove Road and The Westway area, just after 9:30 p.m. for a medical complaint.

When officers arrived they found a woman without vital signs, suffering from severe injuries, Toronto police Const. David Hopkinson said on Twitter Wednesday night.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, paramedics told CBC Toronto. A male patient was transported to hospital, but paramedics would not release the nature of his injuries.

The woman’s death was initially deemed suspicious, but Thursday morning police ruled it a homicide.

This is Toronto’s first homicide of 2018.

North Kansas City Police investigate suspicious death – KMBC-TV

North Kansas City Police are investigating a homicide after an incident early Monday morning.

At 2:46 a.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Oliver Drive for a report of gunshots. When officers arrived, they said they found a man dead outside the building.

The Jackson County Medical Examiner was on the scene working to determine how the man died. Police originally referred to this investigation as a suspicious death.

Police said a woman who lived at the Oliver Apartments called 911 when she found the man on her porch. She told authorities she thought the man might have been shot.

Investigators said the victim’s cause of death is still under investigation, however, a possible gunshot wound was found.

The victim in this case has been identified as 19-year-old Zachary Murphy of Gladstone.

Man found dead with multiple cuts in North Little Rock identified …

5 P.M. UPDATE:

Police have identified the man found dead with multiple cuts on his body inside a North Little Rock apartment early Wednesday and said a 38-year-old woman has been arrested in the homicide.

Tyrone Tatum, 59, was discovered in his unit at 600 West M St. after someone walking by around 6 a.m. noticed the apartment door open and called officers, said Sgt. Brian Dedrick, a spokesman for the North Little Rock Police Department.

On Wednesday afternoon, Keebie Jackson of North Little Rock was arrested, according to a news release. Authorities said she was being held at the Pulaski County jail without bail.

Barron Co. authorities investigate ‘suspicious’ death north of Chetek

Barron County (WQOW) – Police are investigating a death that happened in Barron County over the weekend.

The Barron County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call on Sunday at 8 a.m. regarding a Chetek man, who passed out behind the wheel of a car on 25th Street at 9 3/4 Avenue north of Chetek.

According to a press release, authorities found Mark E. Johnson, 56, of Chetek, dead in the vehicle, and he appeared to have been placed on the floor on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Detectives said they questioned two people in reference to the suspicious death. Police said the situation is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.

Authorities said the death is being ruled suspicious. They are currently awaiting autopsy results.

North Charleston police investigating suspicious death after body …

Authorities are investigating a suspicious death after finding a body in a North Charleston yard Friday morning.

Officers were called shortly before 9 a.m. to 2621 Harvey Ave. after reports of a “possible deceased person in the yard,” said Spencer Pryor, a North Charleston Police Department spokesman. 

They discovered a male dead from an apparent gunshot wound at the scene, Pryor said. 

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office is investigating the cause and manner of the person’s death, he said.

An investigation is ongoing.

Police investigate suspicious death in north Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Springfield police are investigating a suspicious death on the city’s north side.

Officers responded Friday night to a call about a man found dead in a parked vehicle outside the emergency room entrance at Cox North on N. Jefferson Ave.

Police identified the man as Steven R. Layman, 57, of Springfield. An autopsy will determine how Layman died.
