Carroll County’s suspicious death remains a mystery for now

DELPHI, Ind. — Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby is waiting on results from Friday’s autospy before he comments on a death investigation, which was started Thursday.

Carroll County deputies were called to a home in Deer Creek, a small town on Indiana 29 in the northeastern part of the county about 11 a.m. Thursday.

A woman reported she came home to find her boyfriend dead, Leazenby said.

The death was suspicious because the house was in a state of disarray as if there had been a struggle, Leazenby said Thursday. He refused to identify the man or comment on whether the man suffered any obvious injuries.

MORTON, WA — Worried that no one has missed a woman enough to report her missing, Lewis County Coroner Warren McLeod and Washington State Forensic Anthropologist Dr. Kathy Taylor are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman whose remains were found in 2011.

Crime Scene Remains Active Hours After Suspicious Death in …

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) The house located on the 15400 block of Pamela Lane remains an active crime scene nearly 15 hours after a grim discovery was made Monday morning.

Deputies were called to the home when a parent called 911 after locating their 23-year-old son dead near a hammer and a pool of blood.

After San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel pronounced the man dead, detectives with the Homicide Division quickly swarmed the home looking for evidence surrounding the suspicious death.

Per scanner traffic, it was reported that a parent initially contacted 911 and said they believed the death may have been suicide.

Police have remained tight-lipped on details, with the man’s identity yet to be confirmed.

As of Monday night, crime scene investigators can be seen fingerprinting and black-lighting the house in its entirety. An evidence marker displaying a number “11” can be seen through a window where a computer is located.
