UPDATED: Suspicious Death Sends Police to Mississauga …

Peel police are probing a “suspicious” death following the discovery of a body in Mississauga.

“At this stage, our criminal investigation bureau is investigating,” said Const. Bancroft Wright.

The discovery was made at 8:15 a.m. near Sheridan Park and Homelands drives in the city’s south end, in the Dundas St. and Erin Mills Pkwy. area.

The victim is male.

A forensics team will be heading out to the scene.

Sheridan Park Dr. is closed as of 9:45 a.m.

UPDATE: This death is no longer being treated as suspicious, said Wright, adding the scene is being released.

A post-mortem examination – to be held later this week – will determine cause of death.

The man is 27, of Mississauga.

The death of a 70-year-old man in a private Limassol nursing home is now being treated as a murder investigation police said on Wednesday, a day after he was found dead in his bed.

The elderly man, who had been in the nursing home for the past four months, died on Tuesday.

According to the care home at 5:30am on Tuesday he said he had not been feeling well and was taken back to his bed as he had mobility issues.

Updated: Vidor police investigating suspicious death


Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll confirmed that his department is investigating the death of a 65-year-old man.

Cleveland Dale Rogers died on Sept. 30 and police believe there were suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, Carroll told BeaumontEnterprise.com.

 Reports: Father of missing girl did laundry before calling cops

Rogers died from a gunshot to the left side of his chest, near his shoulder, according to a preliminary autopsy report. 

His manner of death is still pending while police investigate whether the gunshot wound was self-inflicted or not, Carroll said. 

Additional details are not available as the investigation is still underway. Carroll said they’re keeping the circumstances behind Rogers’ death quiet to avoid

UPDATED: Man, 64, charged with murder after shooting near Warrenton

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office has charged Richard Turner MacDonald, 64, with murder in connection with a man’s death early Sunday near Warrenton.

At approximately 5 a.m. Sunday, sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting in the 5400 block of Turkey Run Road off of Meetze Road near Warrenton. Deputies found the body of a white man inside a house.

Later in the day, police charged MacDonald with murder in connection with the case, said sheriff’s office Sgt. James Hartman. He is being held at the Fauquier County jail without bond.

UPDATED: Suspicious death now called a homicide | News | WIN 98.5 – WNWN

COOPER TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) —   Kalamazoo County Detectives are now calling the death of a woman found dumped in a field on the northern edge of Cooper Township a homicide and released the name of the victim.

Undersheriff Pauli Matyas says an autopsy has confirmed the identity of the victim as 36-year-old Kelly Ann Karl, a white female who had resided in Kalamazoo. The autopsy apparently also confirmed their suspicions that foul play was involved.

Her body was recovered from a remote location in the 3000 Block of West AB Avenue Thursday morning.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 am at the Betzler Life Story Funeral Home on Stadium Drive.

 A person of interest remains jailed on unrelated charges, and the investigation continues. The name of that person has not been released by County Detectives.

Suspicious death in Bellevue ruled homicide-UPDATED – KWQC-TV6 – KWQC

UPDATE -BELLEVUE, Iowa – (KWQC) –  A Bellevue, Iowa man’s death has been ruled a homicide.

The Iowa State Medical Examiner Office says an autopsy was performed on James Remakel.

The cause of death was from multiple sharp edged entries.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking the public for any help in this case.

BELLEVUE, Iowa (KWQC) – The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the suspicious death of a 59-year-old man on Christmas Day.

According to DCI, the Bellevue Police Department was called to the 600 block of South Riverview Street for a suspicious death. When officers arrived they found James M. Remakel, 59, dead in the home.
